Nakia the Advocate
Prophetess Nakia dreamed of becoming of an attorney beginning at the age of five years old. That dream began to become a reality when she graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High School with honors in 1993. She is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and of the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
She was licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina in 2002. Upon receiving her licensure, she served as an associate attorney with several reputable law firms in the triangle area which allowed her to discover that domestic law was her passion and a part of her calling. She has also been blessed to work as an associate attorney with great mentors such as Attorney Ralph K. Frasier Jr., Attorney Jill E. Burton and Attorney Gray Ellis. These well-respected attorneys, along with Attorney Camilla J. Davis, have assisted her in becoming the mediator, negotiator and litigator that she is today.
On December 19, 2005, she established The Law Office of Nakia C. Davis, which has given her the opportunity to focus in the practice area of family law. In years, past, she has served as President of the Durham County Family Bar and on the Board of Directors for the Durham County Bar Association.
In August of 2006, she was given an opportunity to continue developing her skills as a practitioner while teaching others about the practice of law.
