I-A.M.!

I-A.M.! which is also known as My Sisters Circle International (“MSCI”) was birthed out of a place of pain and desperation. I tried so hard to escape this process of preparation, not knowing that God was turning my pain into my power and my power into His platform. I was teaching in classrooms, litigating in courtrooms, preaching and teaching in my church and was still in pain. Still bitter, still oppressed, still unforgiving and still empty. “Leading in the midst of bleeding,” as they say.

In October of 2013, the Lord gave me what are now known as I-A.M.! Affirmations (formally known as the MSCI Affirmations) to speak over a little girl and a young woman who are very special to me. I spoke these words over their lives in prayer for about two months when one day the Lord told me to speak them over myself. I stood in the bathroom mirror, looked myself “dead in the eyes” and said these words: Beautiful, Loved, Intelligent, Wise and Worthy. In that moment, I experienced a flood of emotions that on some days led to a flood of tears. It was so very easy to believe these things for “my girls,” but not for myself. I was called and ordained by God to be a Prophetess but did not have the courage to prophesy over myself. The Lord wanted me to know that these five affirmations were His truth about my girls, but they were also His truth about me. Now, He desires to use me to ensure that women of different races, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds know that the five affirmations are His truth about each of them. Why?

See, at some point in our lives and for different reasons, we all struggle with these five affirmations, especially when it comes to our knowing that we are worthy of all that God has for us. Some may struggle on a daily basis, some may struggle for years, but we all struggle. The Lord wants us to know, that we are the very definition of the five words that are the foundation of the I-A.M.! affirmations. We are Beautiful. We are Loved. We are Intelligent. We are Wise. We are Worthy. HE made us so, when he blew his breath into each and every one of us. We are blessings to each other and the society in which we live. We are exhorters of one another. We are intercessors for one another. We are teachers to one another. We are our sisters’ circle. I-A.M.! and My Sisters Circle International has been established by the Lord as a safe place for all of us as we embrace and grow in beauty, love, intelligence, wisdom and self-worth, while maneuvering through the various situations and circumstances we find ourselves a part of every day, especially as it relates to our professional lives. We develop a mature understanding that we must be truthful and transparent with ourselves as well as others in order to be delivered, healed and revived.
